Colitu Android v2.9.1
What changed in this release
v2.9.1 Connection reports, steadier sign-in and security
This release brings connection reports for support, steadier sign-in, and security improvements.
New features
- When support looks into a connection problem on your account, the app sends a connection report the next time it opens.
- Site names and addresses are masked on your device and on our side; reports are deleted after 90 days.
- When you open a support conversation with 'attach diagnostics' on, the full connection report is attached automatically.
- Support for a connection mode that changes ports regularly, keeping speed up on mobile networks.
- Your app language is now shared with your account, so emails, notices and support replies arrive in your language.
- Server and city names are shown in your language as well.
- The update check shows how fresh the update information is.
- Locations have calmer, roomier rows.
Bug fixes
- Your device stays signed in when the phone's secure storage cannot be read for a moment; before, this could register the phone as a new device.
- Devices you removed no longer come back in the device list.
- The connection check no longer uses a service that is slowed down in some regions, so automatic switching works better there.
- Clear messages when an account is waiting for a review or a sign-up is refused, instead of a generic error.
- Security hardening from two independent audits: a stricter local proxy, a hardened updater and ad-blocking defaults.
- Updated connection engine and libraries; fixes for connecting with the new engine.
Performance improvements
- Connections on long sessions are steadier: a server-side fix stops an unfinished upload (for example an aborted speed test) from freezing the fast connection mode.
