What changed in this release
v5.9.6 No more "connected but nothing loads"
On some networks the app showed "Connected" while nothing loaded. Now the app checks that real traffic gets through and reconnects on its own if needed.
New features
- While you are connected, the app now downloads a small test file to make sure real traffic gets through.
- If the test fails twice in a row, the app marks the connection method as not working on this network and reconnects with the next one on its own, usually within about half a minute.
- The app remembers the result for this network, so the next connection starts with a method that works there.
Bug fixes
- Fixed: on some networks the app showed "Connected" while websites and apps did not load.
Performance improvements
- The test only runs while the app is open and almost no data is arriving, and never while data is already flowing.
