Colitu Linux v1.5.1
What changed in this release
v1.5.1 Live support, connection reports and a stricter kill switch
This release adds a live support tab, connection reports, and a stricter kill switch. It also includes language sharing and connection improvements.
New features
- Live support is a tab at the top with a dot for unread replies.
- Connection reports are sent for support when there's a connection problem.
- When you open a support chat with attach diagnostics, the report is attached automatically.
- A connection mode changes ports regularly to keep speed up on slow networks.
- Clear messages when an account is waiting for review or a sign-up is refused.
- Your app language is shared with your account, so emails and support replies arrive in your language.
- Server and city names are shown in your language as well.
- Server pings are measured outside the tunnel, and locations can be sorted.
- The app reconnects after a network change.
- Ad-blocking resolvers come from our servers.
Bug fixes
- The kill switch is armed before connecting and stays closed if a connection attempt fails.
- The part of the app with administrator rights only runs the configuration the app wrote.
- Backup connections to the next server always use encryption.
- Account details are stored encrypted and server names are masked in logs.
- The connection check and path checks no longer use a service that is slowed down in some regions.
Performance improvements
- Updated connection engine and libraries.
- Connections on long sessions are steadier: a server-side fix stops an unfinished upload from freezing the fast connection mode.
