Colitu Windows v2.9.6
What changed in this release
v2.9.6 Live support, connection reports and a stricter kill switch
This release adds a live support tab, connection reports, and a stricter kill switch. Also, language sharing and various improvements.
New features
- Live support is now a tab at the top of the window, with a dot when there is an unread reply.
- When our support team looks into a connection problem, the app sends a connection report the next time it opens.
- When you open a support conversation with 'attach diagnostics' on, the full connection report is attached automatically.
- A connection mode that changes ports regularly keeps speed up on networks that slow down long-running connections.
- The kill switch stays closed when a connection attempt fails or when the automatic connect after a crash fails.
- Your app language is now shared with your account, so e-mails, notices and support replies arrive in the language you use.
- Server and city names are shown in your language as well.
- Server pings are measured outside the tunnel, and locations can be sorted.
- The updater follows each redirect itself and checks every step.
- Ad-blocking resolvers come from our servers; an empty list no longer replaces a working one.
- Survey scale shows '10' correctly; location and support rows are readable in every theme.
Bug fixes
- Clear messages when an account is waiting for a review or a sign-up is refused, instead of a generic error.
- The connection check and the path checks no longer use a service that is slowed down in some regions.
Performance improvements
- Updated connection engine and libraries.
- Connections on long sessions are steadier: a server-side fix stops an unfinished upload from freezing the fast connection mode.
